We haven’t seen excitement in a queue like this since Garth Brooks.
Apple aren’t due to unveil the latest iPhone until next Tuesday but so eager are some people to be the first to get their hands on the new model that they starting queuing outside the flagship Apple store on fifth avenue in New York yesterday.

A queue. For a phone. Six days prior to release. These people shouldn’t be allowed to communicate with others. pic.twitter.com/UbtalIPbne

In fairness to those eager beavers, evidence from recent years suggests that the queue is likely to increase significantly between now and the day of its release, while for a glimpse into what they’re so excited about, a leak from a Russian tech website this week suggests that this is what the new model (reports suggest there will be two phones, one with a normal 4.7 inch screen and another with a larger 5.5 inch screen) is going to look like…
We would hope that whoever happens to join the queue in the next few days will fall in line and observe queue etiquette; it would be a shame if these lads at the front had to pop to the jacks a few minutes before the unveiling and were forced to the back of the line on their return after all.
