As you do.
Anyone who uses public transport on a regular basis will know that approximately 99% of passengers spend the majority of their time buried in their smartphones.
Some are genuinely sending texts, using social media or keeping on top of the news, while others are staring blankly at their screens to avoid having to make contact with the person sitting next to them.
Before smartphones became as common as they are, reading a book or a magazine was a common way of passing the time on public transport, when you couldn’t access Twitter or Facebook with the press of a button.
For one woman spotted on the subway in New York by Entertainment Weekly social media editor Alex Steinman earlier this week, accessing Facebook on her smartphone is something she hasn’t quite got to grips with, as she decided to print out 15 pages worth of posts and comment threads to entertain her during her journey.

And not a single f**k did she seem to give about it either; it did look like a fairly interesting comment thread in fairness.
