Looks like celebrities have one more thing to worry about.
That’s because the non-profit group Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is rolling out a string of new top-level domain names that will be available alongside the common .com and .org.
The new top-level domains include the likes of .xxx, .porn, .adult, etc., among other cleaner names, and the ICANN will be making those domains available to the public from June 1.
However, companies and public figures have been allowed to register the domains before anyone else so they can avoid having their name or brand associated with a porn site.
That’s how Taylor Swift managed to get her hands on TaylorSwift.porn and TaylorSwift.adult.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, even Microsoft has decided it better snap up some dirty domain names before anyone else, including, Office.porn and Office.adult.
