TWEETS: Tinder was down last night and everybody went into panic mode

Conor Heneghan

The struggle was real.

For some single people (and some not so single people operating anonymously), Tinder can be as addictive as Twitter, Facebook or any social media app.

Even if one has no interest in finding a match, casually checking out available singles in your area is an entertaining enough way of passing a few hours.

Last night, the app encountered difficulties for a brief period as users were unable to log in or access their matches.

Not such a huge deal you might think, but some people went into full-on panic mode.

The app seems to be functioning as normal again this morning and thank God for that.

For a minute there we thought we might have to actually talk to somebody again in an effort to secure a date.
