There’s some good news and some bad news for Assassin’s Creed fans…

The Bad News: Assassin’s Creed Unity’s release date has been pushed back. The Good News: The game has been pushed back by just two weeks. When we first heard the news we were afraid it was going to be next year… Phew.

Anyway, Ubisoft has officially announced that Assassin’s Creed Unity will be released on November 11 in the US and on November 13 in Europe and other markets.

According to the studio, the two extra weeks will help ensure that the quality of the game meets fans’ expectations.

“This being a fully next-gen game, it requires a lot of work, a lot of production, and a lot of learning,” says Senior Producer Vincent Pontbriand. “It’s always hard to be precise and to quantify exactly how much work is involved. So as we get close to the finish we often realize we’re near the target but we’re not quite there yet.”

In other Assassin’s Creed news, EMEA territories will now see Assassin’s Creed Rogue (Xbox 360/PS3 exclusive) will now release November 13, alongside Assassin’s Creed Unity.
