This amazing trailer gives us a look at how the lads behind the game will create the incredibly scary Alien. Can we get a clean pair of underwear please?
Creative Assembly have been working on a game based on the classic sci-fi movie Alien, and if the trailer is anything to go by, then this is a true labour of love. We’ve already seen some other action from previous trailers, and they’ve heavily stylised the game to look like the world that Ridley Scott dreamed up in the original movie, which makes this game a faithful translation of that project on to our next gen consoles.
This particular video gives us a look at the making of the Alien of the title, and it looks like you will spend the majority of the game isolated, wandering around the Nostromo trying to avoid the creature, given that you will hardly get your hands on any weapons, and if you give away your position you will be in a world of hurt.
In the game you take on the role of Amanda Ripley, and are sent out to the Nostromo to try and find records of your mother. That doesn’t exactly go to plan, of course, and for the remainder of your time on the ship you will be hunted down by the Alien, so that even when it’s not on screen, you will be scared to death by where it could possibly be.
As they state, the footage is of a work in progress and not the finished article, but it already looks absolutely amazing, and we really can’t wait for this to be released.
