Sweet mother of god, we can't wait for this...

There are certain video-game traits that JOE has grown accustomed to over the years and we would feel strange if they changed.

Super Mario has to say "Here we go", the zombies in Resident Evil must always frighten the bejesus out of us and FIFA should cause fights with our mates.

We thought that the Grand Theft Auto series of games would always be played from the over the shoulder viewpoint but we're happy to say that this is changing.

Rockstar has confirmed the addition of a first person mode to Grand Theft Auto V for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC versions of the game and it looks amazing.

Players will now be able to switch back and forth between first- and third-person modes which makes us unbelievably happy.

Rockstar's development team have also reworked the structure of the whole game, adding in real first person mechanics like cross-hair aiming and vehicle control.

Take a look at the trailer which has made us giddy with excitement here in JOE Towers.

There's just so much violence, shooting, explosions, planes, helicopters, guns. You'll have to excuse JOE, we need to lie down.

Grand Theft Auto V is due for release on Xbox One and PS4 on November 18, and PC on January 27, 2015.
