Video: Japan has won the World Cup! For robots

They beat host nation China in the final.

Japan has just won the RoboCup, the world’s annual robotic soccer championship.

Over 40 countries competed for the coveted title, but it was a group from the University of Chiba in Japan who emerged victorious.

We just hope the robot who got the winning goal did a Peter Crouch celebration.

We’ll be honest, it’s not the most exciting sport to watch, but you do have to have a certain amount of steel about you to participate.

Not one bit sorry.
