Last night we got a look at the multiplayer modes in Call of Duty: Ghosts, and there’s plenty of new info and videos to cast our eyes over
We’re gearing up for what’s going to be a ridiculous autumn/winter of gaming, between Pro Evo, FIFA, GTA V and the latest Call of Duty, we’re not so sure that we’re going to have any time to come into work at all…
Anyway, last night we got a look at the multiplayer for Ghosts, which will obviously be the part of the game we use most, and it looks pretty impressive to us.
There are going to be two main modes in multiplayer, ‘Cranked’ and ‘Search & Rescue’. In ‘Cranked’, players get new abilities after getting a kill and then a countdown clock will start, with you needing to get the next kill within 30-seconds otherwise you’ll explode.
‘Search & Rescue’ is a mode where your team mates need to collect your dog tags in order for you to respawn again, so it’s probably best to keep them sweet somehow. That means no Leeroy Jenkins-ing.
The game mode ‘Sqauds’ was also revealed, which will involve teams of up to six players, with a squad (see what they’ve done there) of computer controlled players that promise to be more human-like than ever before. There will also be a Call of Duty app, that will allow for a dual screen experience, and be of particular importance to the ‘Clans’ mode.

The app will allow you to manage your clans, and there will also be a mode called ‘Clan Wars’, which will enable you to unlock goodies in the game and the app, all while away from your console. According to what the lads at Activision are saying, “This new experience enlists players into a larger conflict, where any Clan member, no matter what skill level, can contribute to the Clan Wars mission and compete against other Clans for XP bonuses and exclusive in-game content”.
It sounds to us like we’re now going to be playing Call of Duty on the bus home, in work and on the jacks.
Hat tip to the lads at Digital Spy
