Recently, JOE’s Oisin Collins was in California testing out Insomniac Games upcoming Xbox One exclusive
Sunset Overdrive. You can

But for now, we’ve got a look at some screenshots from the game along with some never-before-seen concept art showing you what’s in store for gamers when the game finally hits shelves later this year.
You may notice in the pics above and trailer below that
Sunset Overdrive is an extremely bright, vibrant and immensely colourful game, which may seem odd seeing as you're playing in what is essentially a zombie apocalypse. But that's exactly what the guys at Insomniac Games were going for, as this isn't an 'end of days' apocalypse and instead it is an '
Awesome-pocalypse'.

The world as you know it is slowly, but surely, coming to a halt all thanks to the Fizzco corporation's mutant inducing energy drink called OverCharge Delirium XT (find out more on the
official OverCharge Delirium XT website - which is hilarious to read, by the way).
But instead of morning the loss of life as it used to be, you're character seizes the opportunity to live life to the max and enjoy however long he has left by doing whatever he likes... while also knocking off a few of the OD'ed too.
There's no official word yet on when
Sunset Overdrive will be landing in shops here in Ireland, but it's set to be released sometime later this year. We're already looking forward to getting our hands on the game.
