Five more ridiculously stupid holiday complaints

Last week’s piece about five of the most ridiculously stupid holiday complaints went down very well indeed, so here’s another selection of tales from the worst tourists ever.

We didn’t think it was possible to top some of the complaints included in last week’s article documenting some of the moans of people who must be the worst holiday companions ever, but the folks at Thomas Cook have sent us on some more gold from their complaints department in the last couple of days.

Before people think we’re trying to say that nobody is allowed to have any gripes about their holiday experience, we’re not, we understand that there are genuine reasons to give out now and again, but complaining about a beach being too sandy? Come on people…

Do not disturb… anyone else in the hotel

A woman threatened to call police after claiming that she'd been locked in by staff. When in fact, she had mistaken the "do not disturb" sign on the back of the door as a warning to remain in the room.

Were you in Spain by any chance?

"There are too many Spanish people. The receptionist speaks Spanish. The food is Spanish. Too many foreigners now live abroad."

We’ll add more water and rocks next time

"The beach was too sandy."

Guilty as charged

"Topless sunbathing on the beach should be banned. The holiday was ruined as my husband spent all day looking at other women."

Sorry, the wind must have been broken that day...

"We had to queue outside with no air conditioning."
