Minister of State for Labour Affairs Dara Calleary is the latest Fianna Fail TD to call for the leadership of the party to pass to the new generation of politicians.

The Mayo TD told the Times that those elected in their thirties and forties have a “hell of a lot to offer in terms of rebuilding the party.”

Meanwhile, Ivan Yates has admitted that he will have to battle to save his home following the collapse of Celtic Bookmakers.

However, there is some good news today with the Examiner running a story about house prices on the rise in 2011 after an abysmal plunge in prices last year by 14 per cent.
