Tonight’s Telly

Pick of the night: Offside, 12.20pm, RTÉ Two.

Iranian drama about a group of female football fans banned from entering football stadiums. However, when Bahrain come to town for a crucial World Cup qualifier, the cheeky young ladies opt to disguise themselves as lads in order to sneak into the ground. I think you can get lashes for that type of behaviour over there. Fair dues.

Sporting highlight: Uefa Europa League Final, 7.30pm, TV3.

Fulham take on European heavyweights Atletico Madrid in the Europa League Final in Hamburg. This is the big one for Roy Hodgson’s men, who have been on something of a dream run in Europe this season. The English club dispatched some quality sides on route to the final so Atletico might not have it all their own way.

More TV: The 11th Hour, 11.20pm, RTÉ Two

JOE.ie won’t be getting a last minute call up to replace injured striker Bobby Zamora for their all-or-nothing clash against Atletico Madrid in the Europa League final but still – the excitement is contagious.
