16/11 JOE’s Daily Double

We’re looking at the lucky last in Southwell today and the Munster v Australia clash in Thomond Park tonight to make our double click.

No racing in Ireland today and a terrible standard across the water doesn’t make it easy for selections. However, amateur rider Julie Burke has been in outstanding form since she left Mick Halford’s yard and has one golden chance to get a winner at Southwell today.

The 7lb claimer will be on board DOVEDON ANGEL for Gay Kelleway in the 3.50pm. This filly was narrowly beaten last month and is sure to go well this afternoon.

Munster take on Australia at Thomond Park this evening and the men in red have history of putting it up to international sides who venture on to their own patch.

Thomond Park will be hopping this evening and with the likes of Keith Earls, Johne Murphy and James Coughlan all starting against a weakened Australian outfit, we reckon it could be a memorable night in Limerick.

The last time Australia played Munster in these parts, they were defeated 22-19 by a Munster side that included Ger Earls, father of Munster and Ireland star Keith.

If Munster are to do the business again this evening, there won’t be much in it at the end of the 80 minutes and we think that a 1-5 point Munster win is good value at 7/2.

JOE's Daily Double: Dovedon Angel (Southwell, 3.50pm @ 4/1) and Munster to win by 1-5 points @ 7/2.
