22/12 Tonight’s Telly

TV pick: RTE Sports Awards 2010, RTE 1, 9.35pm

It may not be as big as the JOE Man of the Year awards, but tonight, RTÉ will review the sporting year and hand out statuettes to people they thought did a good job. The awards include RTÉ Sportsperson of the Year, RTÉ Sports Team of the Year and the RTÉ/Irish Sports Council's Hall of Fame Award.

Movie Pick: Lethal Weapon, TCM, 9pm

Turner Classic Movies are showing a double-bill of the Buddy Cop movies starring Danny Glover and Mel Gibson. Strangely, however, they are showing the first and the third back-to-back and not showing the second (which is the best one: with the bomb on the toilet and the South African bad guys and Patsy Kensit). Still, you will get to here the line, "I'm getting too old for this sh*t".
