TV Pick: Fry and Laurie Reunited, GOLD, 11.15 pm

Before Hugh Laurie was the highest paid man in American television for House, and Stephen Fry was hosting QI, appearing in Ros na Rún and dominating Twitter, they were one of England's finest comedy pairings. They appeared together in such television shows as Blackadder, Jeeves and Wooster, and such films as Peter's Friends and Spiceworld.

Fifteen years after the episode of their sketch show, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, the duo reunited for a special on GOLd. If you missed it yesterday, then you have another chance tonight.

Sport Pick: The Ashes: Australia v England, 1st Test, Day 2, Sky Sports 1, 11.30 pm

What an odd tournament The Ashes is. It takes place every two years, features only two teams (Australia and England), lasts for 25 days (and five five-day tests), while the prize at the end is probably the smallest trophy in all of sport.

Its uniqueness is what makes it so gripping, however, and after the Australian domination of 90s, it has become increasingly competitive lately. Irishman Eoin Morgan is representing the English team too - which is another reason to watch it.
