On the back pages of the Scottish newspaper the Daily Record is the headline ‘Ally McCoist: Nutcases will win if we make refs reveal which clubs they support’.

Celtic chairman John Reid and MP Pete Wishart have called for referees to reveal what teams they supported as children, an idea Rangers assistant McCoist lambasts. "It's stupid,” he says, “and again it goes to this questioning of integrity.

"Let's say a ref says: ‘I support Hibs' and he gives a decision for them. You can't tell me that doesn't just pour fuel on a fire? You are giving the nutcases a victory if you go through with that kind of thing."

In the Irish Mail on Sunday is “Crisis for Ancelotti: Abramovich lines up Barca coach Guardiola as Arnesen walks”. They suggest that Sporting director Frank Arnesen will be leaving Chelsea at the end of the season. Which can mean only one thing, Chelsea are lining up Pep Guardiola to replace Carlo Ancelotti.

Honestly, that’s their reasoning.
