Pick of the night: David Williams’ Awfully Good, Channel 4, 9.35pm.

In the first of three programmes to be aired throughout the year, the comedy actor celebrates misguided but entertaining moments in TV, films and adverts, including Keanu Reeves in Bram Stoker's Dracula, a 1978 contemporary black music show, flatulence-deodorising underpants and a roaring shark in Jaws: The Revenge.

Movie pick: Dirty Harry, ITV4, 11.00pm.

An absolute classic. It’s never too late to become a Clint Eastwood fanatic and this 1971 Don Siegel thriller is one of his very best. The maverick San Francisco detective sets out to capture a deranged sniper picking off victims at random. Although his own tactics barely stay within the confines of the law, he is determined the killer will face his particular brand of justice, regardless of his superiors' disapproval.
