A few pictures showing just how bloody cold it is today

It's positively Baltic out there at the minute, and it looks like it's all over the country judging by these pics.

Right, first off, it's supposed to be Spring already, so what's the story with all this freezing cold weather bringing us ice and snow? In the famous words of Barney Gumble, "go back to Russia!"

That said, it doesn't half make for a few class pictures of the cold weather, but we're hoping that we'll soon enough have a few nicer ones of the sunshine to show instead.

Judging by this picture from Steven Buckley, it must have been slightly cold out in Meath last night

They're getting a fair covering of snow in Westmeath by the looks of this snap, from Claire Edwards

These were the scenes in Portmarnock, where Brian Flanagan could only get in three holes before he was forced off the course.
