Dave Connell’s side crash out of the European Under-19 Championships.

Ireland’s under-19s crashed out at the semi-final stage of the European Under-19 Championships, losing 4-0 to the Netherlands in Norway.

Having beaten Spain, Sweden and England, hopes of glory for the girls in green peaked before the showdown against the Dutch.

However, a hat-trick from Bayern Munich’s Vivianne Miedema in extreme heat was too much for a side playing at this level for the first time.

Jeslynn Kuijpers got the Oranje’s other goal but Ireland can take a lot of pride from a sensational performance in Scandinavia.
