Aisake Ó hAilpín returning to Aussie Rules

Aisake Ó hAilpín is returning to Aussie Rules football after walking away from the Cork hurling panel.

Ó hAilpín was incensed by the decision by the county to cut his brother Sean Óg from the senior panel and has signed a two-year contract with Essendon District Football League side Maribyrnong Park Lions, according to the Irish Daily Mail.

The 25-year-old star spent three years with the Carlton Blues alongside his brother Setanta but returned home in 2008 after he was released from the club.

Who could blame him for wanting to leave this ice-land of ours in favour of beaches and blue skies?
