Arctic conditions to last the weekend

Met Eireann has warned of arctic conditions over the next few days with snow expected across the country tomorrow.

Forecasters say it will be nowhere near as bad as the extreme sub-zero temperatures we experienced in December.

Overnight temperatures will be as low as -4 degrees in some areas with most of the snow expected in the South and South East.

Meterologist John Eagleton said the cold weather will last for the weekend but milder conditions are expected around the country next week.
