RTÉ presenter Baz Ashmawy has been involved in a car crash in Dublin and was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drink, reports The Irish Sun.
Ashmawy had been drinking in the swanky new Copan bar in Rathmines, Dublin prior to the crash which occurred at 2am on Friday morning.
Earlier, during his night out, the 35-year-old had tweeted “Feel like I jus drank toilet duck & redbull”. He may now be regretting that he kept his twitter followers updated with pictures of him holding up drinks.
Just after 10pm he posted "Its all just went very pete tong! Pints just became this... Uggggh" accompanied by a picture of some cocktails.
Soon after he posted "Bytw all u dat new dat was a long island ice tea! U need AA & I dig that bout u."
He took down all of his recent drink-related tweets just befor 5pm on Friday.
Ashmawy got his TV break in the series How Low Can You Go. He currently presents a 2fm radio show with Lucy Kennedy.
Last month he took part in the promotion of the Aviva Get Fit Action Plan 2011. At the launch he said, "I tend to go from extremes of being very fit to being really quite unhealthy.
"Since having a new daughter, I've been looking for a lifestyle change that will help me to look after my health in the long term."
