Canada international joins Celtic on trial

Celtic have brought Canadian midfielder Dwayne De Rosario to Parkhead on trial and joins former Arsenal star Freddie Ljungberg at the SPL club.

The 32-year-old Toronto player (pictured above, right) joined the Hoops at the Lennoxtown training complex this morning for training and manager Neil Lennon seems pleased to have added to his squad.

“He is a skilful, sharp and intelligent player,” Lennon said.

"He's a similar player to Shaun Maloney. He likes to play off the left and come inside.”

Both De Rosario and Ljungberg may be in with a shout of getting game time sooner rather than later as Celtic have a lengthy injury list including Maloney, right-back Cha Du-Ri and midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung.
