Putting Man Utd versus Chelsea and Liverpool/Tottenham on Mother's Day has put many men in a predicament, but also resulted in some humerous messages.

The stand-out fixture in the FA Cup and the Premier League meeting at Anfield means that male attention will be diverted, for 90 minutes at least on a day where mothers everywhere will rightfully expect to be focus of attention.
Many fans are complaining at the fixtures falling on such a big day for females, but some in particular have seen the funny side.
This card was sent by a Chelsea fan to his mother, explaining why he can’t be around on her special day, but cleverly deflecting the blame towards the FA.

Some Liverpool fans decided to troll their near neighbours Everton with this banner at Goodison Park. Taking the picture underneath the picture that says ‘Home of the Blues’, it is sure to get a few blue noses out of joint.
