Charlie Bierman is drum & bass mainstay Break. He has been a part of the DNAudio crew since 2001 and is also the owner of Symmetry Recordings.  Here he has hooked up with another Drum & Bass legend DJ Die, born Daniel Robert Kausman. DJ Die has been producing quality cuts since 1992 and also won a Mercury Music award as part of Reprazent with Roni Size back in 1997.

Slow Down is pure audio porn with a bass-line that will have you reaching for the speaker repairs section of the Yellow Pages. Gnarly.

Starsmith, Give Me A Break. Download here.

21-year-old Finlay Dow-Smith, aka Starsmith, is an English-born producer who has worked with Katy Perry, Little Boots, Passion Pit, Paloma Faith, Marina and the Diamonds, Lady Gaga, Boy Crisis and The Twang. The list goes on. He also co-wrote five tracks on Ellie Goulding's award winning debut album Lights.

Give Me A Break, built around a sample of the Ritchie Family's song of the same name, is as contagious as swine flu. With its driving synths, vocal hook and piano breakdown it ticks all the boxes.

The Phantom's Revenge is a producer from France who describes his music in his own words as "Random Disco" and states Find a Friend by house legend John Julius Knight as his inspiration for making music.

Charlie is a French disco house riot which isn't too far away from the latest offering from Duck Sauce. That whole filtered house sound seems to be making a comeback of late.

Those of you who are relatively new to the sound should check out the back catalogue from French record label Roulé. They were founded back in 1995 by Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk fame.

Reset!, If We Try (The Love Anthem). Download here.

A five-strong collective of DJs, producers and promoters, Reset! has released its debut E.P on Cheap Thrills entitled, My Trunk.

If We Try (The Love Anthem) is a Fidget House affair which makes great use of vocal stabs sampled from Armand Van Helden's Funk Phenomenon backed up by layers of synth and a marching bass-line.

If ghetto bass isn't your thing, jump onto either the Broke One or Kry Wolf remixes for a more disco vibe.

Simian Mobile Disco, Sweetbread. Download here.

James Ford and Jas Shaw, who use the stage name Simian Mobile Disco, have been creating sonic freak-outs since 2005. Sweetbread is the latest single from their new album entitled Delicacies. It’s very aptly named considering every track takes the name of an exotic, and often bizarre, delicacy from around the world.

Sweetbread is a techno feast centered around a prominent, driving bass-line, seasoned with big synths and pounding beats that are sure to get your mouth watering.

Other courses from the album include the sumptuous Aspic and the delectable Nerve Salad. Both were released back in April but are by no means past their sell by date – Delicacies is sure to give your ears a good hearty feed.

JOE’s Dance Downloads is compiled by veteran DJ Craig G. The Dubliner has performed sets in numerous clubs during the course of his 18-year career including The Dragon Nightclub in Dublin and The Vic Nightclub in Galway. His mixes, meanwhile, have been featured on 2fm. Craig G has been working with Rampage School of Dance for the past eight years, putting scores for their live performances. Their last collaboration enjoyed a sold-out run at The Mermaid Arts Theatre.
