Danny DeVito to attend Fridays War of the Roses screening for JDIFF

Danny DeVito will be attending the War of the Roses screening at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival on Friday

Veteran actor and director Danny DeVito will be knocking around the Savoy cinema on Friday evening to attend the screening of War of the Roses, his second directorial venture from 1989. The good news is, tickets are still available for just €15 for the screening at 6.10 pm. DeVito will also be awarded with the Volta Career Achievment Award by Brendan Gleeson after the screening.

War of the Roses stars DeVito, Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas. DeVito plays an attorney who tells the story of the Roses couple to a new client wanting a divorce. The Roses are Barbara (Turner) and Oliver (Douglas), a perfect couple to begin with. However soon Barbara wants a divorce and Oliver doesn’t, which leads to a battle of wills as each refuses to give up their beautiful home.

War of the Roses is a dark comedy, which sees the lengths a couple will go to just to break free of each other. Screening on Friday February 22 at the Savoy at 6.10 pm.
