Cork’s chances in this year’s All-Ireland have taken a hammer blow with the news that sharp-shooter Colm O’Neill has suffered another cruciate knee ligament injury.
By Declan Whooley
The All-Star was again in sparkling form on Saturday evening, kicking two points in the victory over Donegal, before being struck down with the injury for the third time in his career.
The 24 year-old Ballclough man first had the long-term injury in 2008 while on club duty, with a national league game against Galway two years ago the scene of the second occurrence of the injury.
The news will come as a huge blow to both player and county, with the County Board confirming the worst fears today. O’Neill himself took to Twitter to indicate his disappointment with the news.

We wish him well on his road to recovery.
