Donnacha Ryan cited for stamping

Ireland second row forward Donnacha Ryan has been cited for allegedly stamping on an opponent during Ireland’s 20-10 victory over Samoa on Saturday.

The Munster forward was cited by independent RBS Six Nations Citing Commissioner Jean Etienne Bernard of France for allegedly stamping on an opponent contrary to law 10.4(b) during the clash with the Pacific Islanders.

The hearing will take place in London on Tuesday 16 November, before an independent RBS Six Nations Disciplinary Committee chaired by Roger Morris (Wales) and assisted by Simon Thomas (Wales) and Achille Reali (Italy).

A further statement will be issued once the outcomes of the hearings are known.
