Eminem will be the second act to play at the castle, after Bon Jovi recieved a well, mixed response, when their gig was announced a few weeks ago

For the first time since 2001, it looks like there’s going to be two Slane concerts, with Bon Jovi performing in June and Eminem performing two months later in August. The historic venue has been home to some of the greatest concerts on Irish soil, so here’s hoping this one will be no different.
Lord Mountcharles, the owner of Slane, had previously promised to never book Slim Shady again after he pulled out of the 2005 gig, but time has healed this rift it appears. Mathers cancelled to enter a drug rehabilitation program, but seems to be well on the road to ‘Recovery’ now. He may have a ‘Guilty Conscience’ about cancelling, so he’ll probably put together a great show with a solid’ Encore’. Sorry, we couldn’t resist…
Good news for those watching their budget too, as the Slane owner has also said all ticket prices will be below €80 for the Eminem gig – meaning you might even have enough to attend Bon Jovi as well. But that’s up to you, ‘it’s your life (it’s now or never).’
We’ll get our coat…
