The FA are investigating reports that Marouane Fellaini spat at Pablo Zabaleta during last Tuesday’s Premier League clash between Manchester United and Manchester City.
The incident reportedly occurred after Fellaini’s elbow on the Argentine defender.
With Zabaleta on the ground, Fellaini appears to lean over him and spit in his direction.

Should Fellaini – who was only booked for the elbow on Zabaleta – be found guilty, he is likely to be looking at an automatic three-game suspension similar to that handed down to Hull’s George Boyd for a recent incident involving Joe Hart.
