Taking penalties against Joe Hart, being flown in a private jet to major European cities and starring in a TV ad could be on your schedule for the immediate future, thanks to Doritos.

We’ve all watched penalty shootouts and thought ‘Pffft, my mates and I could do a lot better than that’. Now, thanks to Doritos, you have a chance to prove it. And, if you and your gang are really good, you could be having an amazing experience.

Doritos are looking for entrants for their Doritos Penalty Shootout Competition. All you have to do is upload two videos of you and two mates showing off your football skills to Doritos.co.uk before April 18.

If you and mates are chosen by the judges, you will take part in an eight-team test of skill. The final two teams then get to take penalties against World Cup bound England keeper Joe Hart.

Being Doritos, there is a Mexican twist as their fantastic Mariachi band will be on hand to try and put Hart off, so the odds are stacked in your favour.

The two teams that reach the final will star alongside Hart in the new Doritos TV commercial, which will air in Ireland on 1st June 2014. The winning team that scores the most goals will also receive the ‘Ultimate Mates Football Trip’, offering the opportunity to travel by private jet to some of Europe’s most exciting cities, receiving VIP treatment at exclusive clubs and hotels.

Ireland internationals Emma Byrne and Robbie Brady (main pic) were on hand to launch the competition this week and to read our interviews with Emma and Robbie just click the links.

Speaking about the Doritos Penalty Shootout Competition, Robbie said, “For fans, this really is the ultimate footballing prize. Taking a penalty is a daunting task in itself but trying to put it past Joe Hart is an experience they’ll never forget! It’s an opportunity not be missed.”

“I know all too well the pressures of having to save a penalty and Joe is one of the best keepers around, but I don’t envy him in this challenge! It’s a fantastic competition so I’d urge everyone to enter – particularly the girls!!” said Emma.
