GAA consider introduction of goal-line technology

The GAA still plan to introduce goal-line technology to major grounds across the nation, but only if it is practical and feasible, the Irish Independent reports.

Question marks remain over the introduction of goal-line technology as the GAA are currently probing its practicality.

"It would have to be deliverable not just in Croke Park but also at county grounds. We would have to look at the cost of that and just how realistic it is to have it installed all over the country," GAA President Christy Cooney told the Indo.

Following Meath’s controversial winning goal in this year's Leinster final there have been calls from all corners to bring in the technology, however, have already run into problems with the introduction of a hooter system to signal the end of games and have deferred its introduction indefinitely.
