Galway named the most gridlocked city in Ireland

Galway is the most congested city in Ireland with over 37 per cent of roads gridlocked, according to research undertaken by TomTom.

Dublin and Limerick come a close second and third with 29 per cent and 28 per cent respectively and it’s bad news too for residents of Cork, Waterford and Drogheda who come in third, fourth and fifth in the top 10 traffic hotspots.

Castlebar, Killarney and Kildare drivers face a much happier experience on the roads coming in at eight, nine and ten.
