George Hook doing the Harlem Shake? We’ve now seen it all

If there were ever two things we would not have put together, it is George Hook and the Harlem Shake. How wrong we were.

Yes the Harlem Shake has had its day. Yes we have all seen umpteen videos of the dance of which some are good, most are distinctly average, but this could be the best, and the oddest, of the lot.

Some might argue - not us of course - that Hook and the Harlem Shake have a lot in common. Funny back in the day but mostly annoying now, getting more air play than is necessary and an ability to irk people no end, but we think that for some bizarre reason, this is well worth a viewing.

Indulging in some unique dance moves in front of students from Presentation Brothers College in Cork yesterday, the lads were well able to keep straight faces before joining in with the outspoken and controversial TV and radio to complete the routine.

Well yes they did George, but we’re thankful that they did.
