Good looking women: Joe Dolan’s womanising past revealed as a hoax

Could Joe Dolan really have had a relationship with gorgeous news anchor Sharon ni Bhreolain? We smell a Wikipedia hacking.

Legendary Mullingar crooner Joe Dolan has become the latest famous Irish person to have his Wikipedia account hacked, four years after his death at the age of 68.

Dolan, something of a superstar and a massive hit with the ladies in his heyday in the 70s and 80s, never married and as a result, had to put up with numerous harmful rumours about his sexuality throughout his career.

His Wikipedia page, however, claims, that not only was he heterosexual, but that he had numerous lady friends, including pantomime regular Twink and stunning news presenter Sharon ni Bheolain.

In a short excerpt about his personal life on an otherwise detailed page, it is claimed that Dolan dismissed persistent rumours that he was gay as a "load of old rubbish" and that “he did have numerous lady friends such as Twink and had a brief run with Sharon ni Bheolain”.

Dolan is one of a number of Irish celebrities whose Wikipedia page have been hacked n recent years, but he got off lightly when compared to former Irish rugby international and current pundit, Neil Francis, whose page received a hilarious and all too brief makeover earlier this year.
