Government served eviction notice at Daíl gates

An eviction notice has been served to the government this afternoon by a performance artist.

Will St Leger attached the eviction sign to the gates of the Daíl earlier today and proceeded to hand out fake bank notes featuring Bertie Ahern to passers-by.

The notice, signed ‘The People of The Republic of Ireland’, reads:

‘You are hereby notified that you must vacate your offices with immediate effect.

For the offences of: breach of trust, economic treason, falsifying expenses forms, colluding with developers, bailing out corrupt banks, damaging the reputation of the Republic of Ireland.’
