The Northern Irish international is packing his bags after the President of Palermo labelled him ‘an out-of-control womaniser’ and ‘an Irishman without rules’.

Kyle Lafferty’s short stay in Italy is over and he is being heavily linked with a move to Norwich but the reason for his departure from Serie B is different to say the least.

The Northern Irish international scored 11 goals in 33 games for the Italian side but he is on his way with a serious flea in his ear from Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini.

Quotes the head honcho gave Italian radio station Radio 24 are being carried on Football-Italia.net and they are pretty special.

“Lafferty is sold as a result of a precise request from my Coach BeppeIachini,” President Zamparini told the station.

“He is an out-of-control womaniser, an Irishman without rules. He is someone who disappears for a week and goes on the hunt for women in Milan.

“He has two families with six children, he never trains, he’s completely off the rails. On the field he’s a great player, because he gave us everything he had and more.

“In terms of his behaviour, however, he is uncontrollable. My Coach told me he cannot sort this player out, so he has to go.”

Those are some serious allegations being thrown around by Zamparini.
