Here it is, the new JOE.ie

It’s been three crazily short years since JOE.ie launched as Ireland’s first Men’s website, and back then people didn’t really know what to expect.

What we’ve evolved into is something we genuinely couldn’t have imagined; we have a loyal, growing fan base that often provides us with our best content and really it was about time we gave them the cool as f**k site they deserved.

Hence #newJOE and the fine athletic specimens in the picture you are currently feasting your eyes on – MMA star Cathal Pendred and Irish international footballer James McLean – who joined our bosses Niall McGarry and Jerry Flannery to launch the brand spanking new JOE.ie.

So, let’s get down to the nitty gritty. We’ve built #newJOE on a cutting edge, responsive HTML5 design; this means #newJOE will resize to fit whatever device you’re viewing us from (be it a tablet, mobile device or laptop). Yes, we are covering all bases, and yes the new site will be so mobile friendly the people next to you on the bus will be staring in your general hand area… so make sure your nails are clean and stop picking at that.

Owner and founder, the esteemed Mr. Niall McGarry is delighted with the progress of his baby and believes the best is yet to come.

“The growth that JOE has achieved since somewhat humble beginnings on the West Coast of Ireland a few years ago is nothing short of staggering,” says Niall.

“With the launch of #newJOE, we’re giving our incredibly loyal readers the website they have always wanted and deserved. JOE.ie has struck a chord with Irish men and we aim to live up to those lofty expectations.”

Editor and hairy caveman type fellow Mike Sheridan underlines that the site is ultimately about the people who use it.

“Every single day the readers of JOE make me laugh,” says Mike.

“Be it by commenting on our Facebook page or Twitter, or by sending us in superb and endlessly entertaining videos and pictures. JOE.ie has become to go-to outlet for viral content in Ireland and we aim to expand upon that while upping our game and delivering the best sporting and lifestyle features on the web.

“#newJOE will not be afraid to tackle controversial issues and it won’t be afraid to voice its opinions on said issues.”

“We are beyond delighted to introduce you to #newJOE the upgraded version of JOE.ie.”

So, let us know what you think – be it good, bad or indifferent – by tweeting the hashtag #newJOE. What’s in it for you? Well, how’s about some cool prizes we’ll be picking on the hour from anyone who tags #newJOE .

Welcome to our brave new world.
