Munster and Ireland prop Marcus Horan is set for up to six weeks on the sidelines after breaking a bone in his wrist in training.

The incident occurred in the gym on Wednesday morning and Horan will see a specialist in Dublin on Thursday to determine the extent of the injury.

He is expected to be out for up to four to six weeks, which almost certainly rules him out of Ireland’s November International series as well as Munster’s Magners League clashes with Treviso and Ulster.

Horan’s Munster team mate Jerry Flannery will travel to Liverpool on Friday next for further specialist examination of his calf injury.
