RTE comic/mimic/Paul-Galvin’s-pain-in-the-neck Oliver Callan will appear at the Olympia Theatre in January, MCD has revealed.

Callan will bring his anarchic form of, er, wit to the stage for a live performance on Thursday 12 January next.

It’s the radio and TV hit comedian’s first Olympia show since his sell-out debut at the Bulmers Comedy Festival in 2008.

And GAA star cum style guru Galvin better turn the other cheek, because Callan will be pushing ahead with his impersonations of Kerry’s finest fashionista during the show.

Callan’s Green Tea launched on RTÉ Radio One during the General Election this year and is currently in its winter season. The series has been recommissioned for a new season on RTÉ from early next year.

“We’ve a great team of writers who are ready to transfer the mayhem and energy of the show from the radio to the stage, with an evening of sketches and as many characters as we can physically fit in. We promise a high-octane night in the Olympia,” said Callan.

Tickets from €19 including booking fee will go on sale on ticketmaster.ie and usual outlets nationwide tomorrow (Saturday 26 November) at 9am.

Don’t all rush, now.
