By Genna Patterson
Jameson St. Patricks Live in the Academy on Abbey Street this March 17 has a killer show line up. Supporting Bombay Bicycle Club are Irish bands Jape and The Cast of Cheers as well as a host of DJs next door in the Twisted Pepper.

Jape have a solid career behind them, forming in 2003 as a side project by singer songwriter Richie Egan. The band have released four albums since then including ‘Cosmosphere’ (2003), ‘The Monkeys in the Zoo have more fun than me’ (2004), Ritual (2008) and ‘Ocean of Frequency’ (2011). ‘Ritual’ won a Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year upon its release.
The band have released popular singles ‘Floating’ and ‘Phil Lynott’, which fans campaigned to try to make the Christmas number one in 2008. Jape are a firm favourite at music festivals and have played at Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, Lovebox and Hard Working Class Heroes.
The Twisted Pepper will also host a 14 hour live DJ experience, starting from midday on St Paddy's Day. The line-up includes electronic music from renowned DJs Erol Alkan, Surgeon, DJ EZ and Daniel Wang throughout four separate rooms within the venue, bringing the best in house, electro, disco and garage.
The highly anticipated gig is already sold out but you can watch the show live streamed here. Make this Paddy's Day a Day to remember - head to Jameson St. Patrick's Live in the Academy. Win tickets here.
