Frank Lampard dominates the headlines again this morning. The Chelsea midfielder has had a brilliant few weeks on the pitch recently, but it does not appear to be enough to save his Stamford Bridge career.

The Sunday Express say a move to the LA Galaxy is imminent and want to sign him in time for the start of the new season, while The People say that AC Milan is more of a likely destination. The Mail on Sunday use all their footballing insight by stating that a move to either team could jeopardise his international career. That’s why some guys are paid the big bucks.

Speaking of the Italian giants despite claiming that Mario Balotelli is a ‘bad apple’ and would not fit – not literally of course – into the AC Milan changing room, according to the Gazetta Dello Sport today, owner Silvio Berlusconi has had a change of heart. They believe that City have dropped their asking price and that negotiations are expected.

One man not leaving Chelsea is left-back Ashley Cole, who is expected to sign an extension to his current deal after Rafa Benitez suggested he may be on his way.

The Sunday Mirror are of the opinion that the top of Pep Guardiola’s wish list at Bayern contains the names of Luis Suarez and Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao. We think that this is perhaps based on current form and logic rather than any concrete evidence, but hey, let’s not get too cynical.

Is the Anfield striker a Bayern target?

Victor Valdes has been linked to Liverpool with his contract at the Nou Camp and the man to replace him could be the man he is rumoured to be replacing. Pepe Reina and Victor Valdes could be effectively swapping places if you believe the Mail on Sunday.

Another player on the Barca radar is Chelsea net-minder Thibaut Courtois, with the Catalans said (the Metro, not us) to be willing to offer up to £10 million for the player currently on an 18-month loan deal at Atletico Madrid.

Elsewhere, the Daily Star report that Swansea will have to stump up £4.5 for Stoke’s inconsistent frontman Kenwyne Jones, while Derby have said that 17 year-old midfielder will not be going anywhere despite interest from Man. City (The Sunday People).

Finally, Arsenal supporters have become all-too familiar with their best players leaving for pastures new and bigger wages, but could Arsene Wenger be about to follow suit? The Sunday Mirror says that money-bags PSG are will offer £30 million for the Frenchman to leave the Emirates and replace Carlo Ancelotti this summer.

We’d have our doubts over this one coming to pass, but with the money at PSG’s disposal, you just never know.
