Joker David Meyler has some Twitter fun at James McClean’s expense

If David Meyler’s Twitter account is anything to go by, the Sunderland lads were all having a good laugh at James McClean’s expense this afternoon.

If David Meyler’s Twitter account is anything to go by, the Sunderland lads were all having a good laugh at James McClean’s expense this afternoon.

The Cork-born midfielder posted a picture that had obviously been pinned up on the wall of the dressing room, canteen or other communal location at the Black Cats’ training ground depicting his team-mate as the tallest member of an albino family in India who were the subject of a double-paged spread in today’s Sun newspaper.

As is evident in the picture below, Meyler or one of his scheming associates taped over the word ‘Fair’ so that the headline instead read ‘A family of McCleans’ with an arrow identifying James as doppelganger for the man at the back left of the picture.

McClean, like Meyler something of an avid tweeter himself, has yet to respond to Meyler at the time of writing, but he’ll hardly let this one lie.

On the other hand, if he is to heed Martin O’Neill’s recent warning about his social networking habits, he might just have to take it on the chin.
