Jonathan Walters becomes Twitter legend within the space of his opening four tweets

We’re not absolutely sure that this is the official account of Irish international Jonathan Walters, but if it is, he’s already become something of a Twitter legend.

The Stoke forward always gives off the refreshing impression that he is something of a what-you-see-is-what-you-get, take no bullsh*t sort of character and he lived up to that billing with his first four tweets on an account that was set up the day before yesterday.

Perhaps learning from the reception that international team-mate Darron Gibson received on his first foray into the Twittersphere, Walters immediately addressed the issues that fellow Twitter users were most likely to take the p*ss out of him for and did so in hilarious fashion.

Like we said, we’re not entirely sure it is Walters as of yet, but he has been exchanging tweets with former Stoke team-mate Danny Higginbotham and has already attracted nearly 4,000 followers so we reckon there’s a good chance it’s him.

With an introduction like that, he deserves all the followers coming to him. Well played Jonathan, well played.
