Leeds United didn’t exactly endear themselves to their fans last night as the summer transfer window came to a close.

To all intents and purposes, Leeds United are a club in turmoil. Their new owners have been heavily criticised for their haphazard approach to club ownership, as they’ve just sacked their most recent manager David Hockaday after only six games in charge.

You would think that the club would be on a charm offensive to ease tensions amongst their supporters, but someone operating their social media thought it would be hilarious to wind their beleaguered fan-base up.

We would encourage you to check out the replies to this tweet from irate Leeds fans, a veritable tsunami of anger and vitriol. We couldn’t actually show you any of them as the language was somewhat choice, but very, very funny in contrast to the hope and excitement expressed after their initial tweet.
