Liverpool plan €25 million swoop for Roma striker

Liverpool are reported to be planning a €25 million swoop for AS Roma striker Mirko Vucinic.

Reds boss Roy Hodgson is believed to be hot on the trail of the highly-rated hit-man after he recently fell out with Roma manager Claudio Ranieri.

The 27-year-old Montenegrin international has 68 Serie A goals in 200 appearances to date and his physical approach to the game would suit the style of the Premier League.

The Roma man has also been heavily linked with Premier League champions Chelsea and German giants Bayern Munchen, and is said to favour a move to England, despite rejecting the possibility of a Tottenham Hotspur switch last year.
