Looks like Coleen Rooney is as surprised as everyone else at the United lineup

Eyebrows have been raised with Wayne Rooney’s omission from the Man. Utd team tonight, none more so than his wife Coleen.

Alex Ferguson has said that he is a difficult man to second guess when it comes to team selections, and he proved this beyond doubt with choosing to keep the former Everton striker on the bench ahead of the big game against Real Madrid.

The inclusion of Nani was a surprise move, but still pales into comparison with the dropping of Rooney to the bench.

Fergie will claim it is all part of a larger tactical plan to see off Jose Mourinho's side, but Rooney’s own missus proved she is as shocked as the rest of us with the news.

We can just imagine that Wayne himself was a little miffed, but we expect him to be chomping at the bit to come on and influence the game.
