Manchester United fans are reportedly preparing to fly a Cristiano Ronaldo banner at Real Madrid’s next game

Certain Manchester United fans like to fly banners over football grounds. They’re planning another one this weekend, but this time in Spain.

The fans in question have used a banner to ask for the removal of David Moyes (pic below) and to have a pop at Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard when his team were playing at the Aviva Stadium against Celtic.

Not content with that, they’ve now switched their attention to their former player Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo has been linked with a return to Old Trafford in recent weeks following reports of him being unhappy at players being sold from Real Madrid such as Angel di Maria, Mesut Ozil and Xabi Alonso.

Apparently, a group of Manchester United fans are going to fly a banner reading ‘Come Home Ronaldo’ over the El Madrigal stadium for Real’s clash with Villarreal on Saturday. Quite what the Portuguese superstar will make of it is anyone’s guess, but it’s safe to say that there will be a lot of Manchester United fans cringing relentlessly if the move goes ahead.

Whatever happened to penning a nicely written letter?
