Leo Messi’s golden boot is revered the world over, but it could be yours if you have a spare €5 million in your back pocket.
By Declan Whooley
2012 will be a difficult year for the Argentinian to ever replicate, not that you would put it past him, as he picked up accolades and awards left, right and centre. 91 goals in the calendar year was more than enough to win the Golden Boot, while one Japanese jeweller has celebrated the feat by creating a solid gold foot in honour of the pint-sized striker.
Japanese jeweller Ginza Tanaka is putting the 25-kilogram pure gold replica of Lionel Messi's left foot on sale at the princely sum of €4.8 million, though you do get a certificate of authenticity from the Leo Messi Foundation and duralumin case are even included free of charge, so you do get bang for your buck.

You will have to move quick though as the foot will only be available from March 7 to June 6, 2013.
